What the NCLEX actually measures

The NCLEX is not a recall test. It measures clinical judgement — prioritisation, delegation, safety, and what to do next — through select-all-that-apply (SATA) and Next-Generation NCLEX (NGN) case studies. That is why reading alone rarely moves your score: you have to practise making the decision under exam conditions.

How to prepare with a question bank

Work questions in blocks by content area, then read every rationale — especially for the options you ruled out. Keep an error log of the items you miss and the concept behind each, and re-drill it. For drug-heavy areas pair this with our pharmacology test banks; for system-based content add med-surg.

RN vs PN
