Option A describes a later modification, since carbohydrate tags such as mannose-6-phosphate direct traffic after the protein has already reached the endomembrane system. Option C targets proteins to the nucleus through nuclear pores instead. Option D describes a signaling event and has nothing to do with sorting a nascent chain.
