Almost nobody studies for the second part of the management accounting qualification with a clear evening in front of them. Wiley CMA Part 2 is worked through in the hour before work and on weekends, months after the ratios and capital budgeting formulas were last used in a classroom, and the material rewards repeated short exposure far more than a heroic weekend. The topic spread is wide too — statement analysis, corporate finance, decision analysis, risk, investment decisions and ethics — so the practical problem is not depth on any one area but keeping six areas warm at once.

Why this test bank helps

A working professional revising in short sessions cannot afford to be told only that an answer was wrong. Each question here is followed by a written rationale explaining the reasoning — which measure the question wanted, why a discounted approach beats an accounting-return approach, why one ratio moved while another did not — so a fifteen-minute session still teaches something. It also makes weak areas visible early, which matters when study time is scarce and has to be aimed at the two topics costing you marks rather than spread evenly across six.

What’s inside

  • Questions grouped by the Part 2 topic areas, so you can revise one section at a time.
  • Multiple choice and computational items in the style used for this level of assessment.
  • A written rationale under every question, explaining the method and where each alternative goes wrong.
  • Coverage across analysis, corporate finance, decision analysis, risk, investment decisions and ethics.
  • One organized PDF, downloadable as soon as checkout completes.

Topics covered

  • Financial statement analysis — liquidity, leverage, activity and profitability ratios and their limitations.
  • Profitability and earnings quality — return measures, margin analysis and the effect of accounting choices on comparability.
  • Corporate finance — cost of capital, capital structure, dividend policy and raising long-term funds.
  • Working capital management — cash and inventory management, credit terms and the cash conversion cycle.
  • Decision analysis — relevant costing, pricing decisions, marginal analysis and cost-volume-profit relationships.
  • Risk management — identifying and quantifying exposures, hedging instruments and enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Investment decisions — discounted cash flow, net present value, internal rate of return and payback.
  • Professional ethics — the ethical principles and standards expected of a management accountant, and how conflicts are resolved.

Who it’s for

Candidates preparing for the second part of the management accounting qualification alongside full-time work, and finance or accounting graduates using this material as structured revision on corporate finance and analysis before moving into a management accounting role.

How to use it (the right way)

Read the topic section first, then attempt a short block of questions closed-book and timed, because pacing is a large part of the difficulty at this level. Log every item you miss by topic rather than by question number, and revisit the two weakest topics weekly. This is a study aid, to be used in line with the academic-integrity and examination rules that apply to you — as preparation and self-testing, never as material taken into an assessment.

Sample question (shows the format — your download contains the full set)

Q. A company holds inventory for an average of 60 days, collects receivables in 45 days and pays suppliers in 30 days. What is its cash conversion cycle?

  • A. 135 days
  • B. 75 days
  • C. 45 days
  • D. 15 days

Answer: B. The cycle is inventory days plus receivable days less payable days, so 60 plus 45 less 30 gives 75 days of financing the company must fund from another source. A adds all three and treats supplier credit as a cost rather than a source of funding. C ignores the inventory holding period. D subtracts both receivable and payable days, which would only be right if customers paid before goods were bought. The measure matters because two firms with identical margins can have very different financing needs.
