Answer: B. Total float is the late start minus the early start, 11 minus 8, which is three days; the same result comes from the late finish minus the early finish, 15 minus 12. Any activity with float greater than zero has slack and cannot be on the critical path, so a delay of up to three days would not move the project finish date. A would require float of exactly zero. C and D both confuse the activity’s duration, four days, with its float, which are unrelated quantities.
